In the late 1990’s, the vocal group known as The Conductors was formed in  Eastern North Carolina and began entertaining at various nightspots and for civic organizations in the Jacksonville, North Carolina area.

In 2003, after undergoing a number of personnel changes, The Conductors, consisting of Victor “The Godfather” Morgan, Wayne “The Iceman” Elliot, “The Doctor” Wes Durden, John “Boots” Bukauskas, James “Stubby” Stubbs and Howard “Coyote” Harding began performing together and formed the act performing today.

Since 2003, The Conductors have continued to support local charitable organizations with programs and appearances at events sponsored by  PEERS, the Department of Social Services, the USO, BOLD – Downtown Alive and the Foster/Adoptive Parents Association in Onslow County.  The group has performed at the Kory Convention Center in Greensboro for the State Employee’s Annual Convention, the Mullet Festival in Swansboro, the Shrimp Festival in Sneads Ferry, the Riverfest and Juneteenth celebrations in Jacksonville, as well as the Farmer’s Day Festival in Richlands.

Besides playing the local night club circuit, Marine Corps Balls, weddings, retirements and class reunions, The Conductors have also had the honor of opening and sharing the stage with such groups as the Band of Oz, Billy Scott and the Prophets, the Mike Corrodo Band and the Four Knights.

The Conductors continue to dedicate themselves to the preservation of the “Old School” harmonies of the Motown sound, Beach classics, early Rock/Do-Wop, and Rhythm and Blues.  Their “Rock, Soul & Rhythm Review,” featuring hits and choreographed routines from The Temptations, The Spinners, The Dells, The O’Jays and The Stylistics, has brought audiences to their feet on every occasion.
